About Us
A letter from our founders...
Dear colleagues, creators, partners, and builders,
At some point in our careers, we’ve all asked ourselves the same question:
How and why does a song suddenly take off and go viral?
The answers from "the ones in the know" were always vague. Lots of guesses, opinions, a lot of “we just know.” But no one could really explain it. Even with all the data in the world from the world's largest music companies the decisions still felt like instinct and guesswork.
We really wanted to understand why the world’s most emotional art form still relied on guesswork.
Between us, we’ve spent our careers inside the worlds of music, media, technology, and AI. We’ve built systems that predict outcomes in almost every other field - from entertainment to finance - but in music, arguably the most expressive and data-rich industry of all, insights were still scattered, delayed, or locked away in an unusable database.
ARCHITECT began as a simple conversation about that gap.
The three of us met for breakfast in Los Angeles — one from America, one from Europe, one from Asia. We talked for hours about the same problem from three different worlds. An executive and former music artist who’d lived through the industry’s contradictions. A technologist and author who could turn complex ideas into elegant systems. An investor and builder who had watched other industries use AI to create tangible value, while music remained stuck in guesswork.
Somewhere between espresso orders, the idea took shape.
What if we could use data to understand music not as static data files, but as a living ecosystem that learns and adapts. What if artists, managers, and investors could work from the same intelligent source of truth, instead of different versions of the same data reports.
We wanted to build something that could make sense of the noise without losing the humanity behind it (cue irony). Not another analytics tool. Not another dashboard but a foundation — a Native AI infrastructure built specifically for the music business, designed to understand how creativity behaves in the real world.
ARCHITECT exists to help this industry see itself more clearly — to turn data into understanding, understanding into action, and action into value.
The music business has always been complex, opaque, fragmented, sometimes contentious. We’re not here to replace it. We’re here to help it work better for EVERYONE who depends on it.
That’s what we’re building and we’re just getting started.
With respect for the art, and belief in what comes next,
Jan, Rob and Oetzi
